Pro AV Solutions supports Sony Foundation Adelaide4Ward fundraising event

Pro AV Solutions was proud to support and attend Sony Foundation’s annual Adelaide4Ward fundraising lunch in Adelaide, joining partners, supporters and community leaders in raising vital funds for young people living with cancer.
Held on Friday, 7 November at SkyCity Adelaide, the event brought together South Australian figures and corporate partners in support of Sony Foundation’s ‘You Can’ program. Delivered in partnership with The Advertiser Foundation, the lunch raised a record $560,000, significantly exceeding last year’s total of $380,000.
Funds raised will directly support the development of the Adelaide ‘You Can’ Youth Cancer Centre at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. The centre will be South Australia’s first dedicated space for adolescents and young adults living with cancer and will become the sixth ‘You Can’ Youth Cancer Centre established nationally.
Pro AV Solutions attended the event for the second consecutive year as guests of Sony Australia Managing Director Tom Hamaguchi. The company also participated as a Silver Pledge supporter, contributing $5,000 to the initiative.

Beyond the fundraising lunch, Pro AV Solutions was successful in securing an AFL Corporate Suite at Adelaide Oval, creating an opportunity to extend the impact of the event beyond the day itself. Pro AV Solutions will host ‘You Can’ Champion Adam Slattery, along with his parents, for a match weekend in Adelaide.
Adam, 22, was diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia at the age of 20 and was required to relocate from Broken Hill to Adelaide to access specialised treatment. Through Sony Foundation’s ‘You Can Stay’ program, Adam and his family have been provided with free, uncapped accommodation close to the hospital, offering stability and dignity during an incredibly challenging period.
Speaking at the event, Adam highlighted the importance of dedicated spaces for young people undergoing cancer treatment, noting the isolation often felt by adolescents and young adults in traditional hospital wards. The future Adelaide ‘You Can’ Youth Cancer Centre will provide not only access to specialised treatment and allied health services, but also social spaces equipped with Sony technology and entertainment, helping patients stay connected and supported.
Pro AV Solutions is proud to stand alongside Sony Foundation and its partners in supporting initiatives that make a meaningful difference to young people and families across Australia, and looks forward to continuing its involvement with the ‘You Can’ program in the years ahead.
