Pro AV Solutions delivers next-generation control room technology for NSW’s Transport Management Centre

Pro AV Solutions has completed the integration of advanced audiovisual and control room technology for Transport for NSW’s newly upgraded Transport Management Centre (TMC) - the state’s nerve centre for real-time traffic and incident response.

Following a $10 million modernisation program, the TMC in Eveleigh has been transformed into one of Australia’s most advanced operations centres, designed to improve network visibility, coordination and resilience across the state’s transport systems.

A future-ready operations hub

The ten-month project has transformed the TMC into a future-proofed operations centre, designed to support 24/7 monitoring, major event planning, and faster emergency response.

The revamped control room now features:

  • A 23-metre-long digital screen wall, one of the largest of its kind in Australia, streaming live CCTV feeds, network analytics and situational data to improve visibility and coordination.
  • Drone pilot stations with beyond-visual-line-of-sight capability, enabling immediate response to major incidents anywhere in the state.
  • A 55 per cent increase in workspace capacity in the main operations room, supporting around-the-clock operations and future workforce expansion ahead of the Western Sydney International Airport opening in 2026.
  • Upgraded communications and lighting systems, new amenities, and improved ergonomics to support the 123 staff working on-site and 320 staff statewide.
Supporting the state’s transport network


Minister for Roads Jenny Aitchison said the upgrade strengthens the centre’s role as the “state’s traffic and transport nerve centre”.

“This upgrade gives it the increased capacity and technology it needs for the future,” she said.
“From the Sydney Marathon to the Bathurst 1000, from Taylor Swift to peak-hour gridlock, this is where the team plans, monitors and manages how the network responds in real time.”

Transport for NSW Executive Director of Operations Management Craig Moran added:

“The TMC never sleeps - it’s a 24/7 hive of activity that coordinates our rapid response.
This upgrade has given our teams the space, technology and tools to collaborate better than ever, delivering smoother, safer trips for everyone who relies on us.”
