Barco’s ClickShare story began more than a decade ago, and it continues to shape how people connect and share ideas in meeting rooms around the world.
Since its first release in 2012, ClickShare has grown from a simple wireless presentation tool into a full collaboration platform. The most recent additions reflect how workplaces are changing.

The ClickShare Bar brings microphones, speakers, and video into one compact form - a full BYOD solution that doesn’t require a dedicated Teams Room or fixed PC. Designed for smaller spaces up to roughly five by five metres, it allows users to walk in with a laptop, connect, and start their meeting.

Barco has also introduced a new ClickShare button that supports Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E and can operate without any software, a direct response to feedback from users who wanted faster, simpler guest access. The same button can also work with software when needed, giving organisations flexibility in how they connect.

Behind the product development is a clear partnership with Microsoft. The next generation of ClickShare solutions is based on the Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform, bringing the security and reliability of Android-based systems to the meeting room.

Projection Built for Performance

Beyond the meeting space, Barco continues to lead in projection and simulation technology - fields where image precision and reliability define the experience.

Lee Tran explains that Barco has been involved in simulation for over twenty years and remains at the core of what drives global visual systems. The company was the first to introduce native 4K projection and now leads with 0.8-inch DLP chipsets, continuing its record of industry firsts.

The current QDX series represents Barco’s focus on functional innovation. Motorised frames make setup faster for large units, and new Dura Optics technology ensures consistent light output throughout the projector’s lifespan. Every detail is designed for reliability and long-term performance.

For live event and rental environments, Barco Encore3 Event Master platform delivers single-frame latency and precise image layering - key for shows and simulation setups where timing and accuracy are critical.

Looking ahead, Barco is aligning with IPMX as the emerging standard for distributed AV over IP, connecting projection, image processing, and control technologies across the same network architecture.

Expanding the Vision into Control Rooms

Barco’s technology also extends into control rooms, where visual information drives real-time decision-making. The company has shifted from connector-based architectures to AVoIP distribution through its Networked Control solutions, enabling operators to manage and display critical data with more speed and flexibility.

Barco’s focus is on the operator experience - ensuring that what they see on screen is immediate, responsive, and reliable. It’s about creating continuity between the systems that capture data and the people who act on it.

Across collaboration, visualization, and control, Barco continues to evolve its technology around how people interact with information. From the intuitive simplicity of ClickShare to the power of high-end projection and the precision of control rooms, the company’s innovations share the same goal - connecting people, content, and decisions through clarity and design.
