Samsung has introduced the EMDX Colour E-Paper series, a 32-inch digital display that combines low power consumption with sustainable design. Built for modern workplaces and commercial environments, it delivers six-colour visuals without the need for constant power or traditional infrastructure.
A Paperless Display That Doesn’t Compromise
Designed to mimic the look and feel of traditional paper, the Samsung Colour E-Paper display brings together clarity, energy efficiency, and environmental responsibility. At just 17.9mm thin and weighing under 2.5kg, the display can be easily mounted, moved, or repositioned across workspaces, lobbies, retail stores, and offices. It runs on an internal rechargeable battery, minimising infrastructure and installation requirements.
Whether you’re displaying product promotions or digital wayfinding content, the EMDX series delivers high-contrast colour clarity with six base hues, red, green, blue, yellow, black, and white. Samsung’s proprietary colour imaging algorithm enhances gradients, contours, and image sharpness, creating a more natural visual experience without a backlight.
Energy Efficient by Design
The Samsung Colour E-Paper is engineered for ultra-low energy consumption, refreshing content without the constant draw of traditional backlit displays. Power is only consumed when changing the image, meaning content can remain static for extended periods with virtually no energy use.
Even better, Samsung has prioritised environmental impact, with over 55% of the product’s plastic housing made from post-consumer recycled materials, and fully recyclable packaging made from paper and corrugated board.
Connectivity Without the Clutter
The display includes USB-C ports for power and data, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for seamless updates and mobile app control. It’s also compatible with Samsung VXT, enabling remote device management and content scheduling at scale, ideal for enterprise or multisite applications.
The Samsung E-Paper App, available on Android and iOS, offers local control and content deployment, making this solution truly plug-and-play.
