THE GPA AT INFOCOMM 2019

InfoComm 2019 was the biggest event yet forthe Global Presence Alliance, our global company.

Three Pro AV staff attended InfoComm and the GPA conference and were really impressed with the development and growth, and our global movement.
The GPA conference was jam packed with an incredible eight keynotes, five key presentations, three workshops and two panel sessions.
Along with the InfoComm show itself we also had the GPA’s renowned networking event and the Global Lounge at InfoComm.

To top it all off, the GPA also launched VELOCITY;
an important milestone for the GPA, and an initiative that will be an anchor to the GPA’s future for many years to come.

The Global Presence Alliance conference and content all focused on improving collaboration and connecting across boundaries by busting silos in working environments. We brought together industry insights, global speakers and disruptive ideas to add to the impact of InfoComm. Busting silos ourselves, we held multiple workshops and panel sessions where everyone could be involved and work more agile as a group. This gave us a chance to talk to and work with people we wouldn’t usually which was a great initiative in itself. Everyone was open with ideas and shared their views on matters that concern all of us globally in the industry.

We heard from the inspirational Kay Sargent, Director of Workplace from HOK who joined us for a “Silo Busting” presentation on aligning design and tech.  It was incredible to hear her perspective on the future of companies and the need to change. Kay shared the latest stats on the Fortune 500 companies: 50% of the Fortune 500 companies will no longer be in the list as of 2030 and 50% of current role types won’t exist either. As Kay said, to stay relevant companies are going to need to break down and bust internal silos to stay relevant to the market and to their staff.

We also held a panel discussion featuring diverse perspectives from HOK, Logitech, Herman Miller and Intel, as we explore the need for better understanding and measurement of collaborative outcomes in the Modern Workplace.
