Grant Thornton Australia

Details

Grant Thornton Australia’s Sydney office at Grosvenor Place was designed to support a more flexible way of working, with teams operating across offices, client sites, and remote environments. The workplace needed to provide a consistent experience for users regardless of where they were joining from, while also creating a professional and consistent environment for both employees and clients.
The project involved delivering AV across more than 40 spaces, ranging from small meeting rooms to large boardrooms and flexible training environments. Each space needed to support video conferencing, content sharing, and day-to-day collaboration, while maintaining a simple and intuitive user experience.
At its core, the project required an AV platform that could create a consistent way for users to interact with rooms across the workplace, simplify room operation and minimise the need for user support, and enable hybrid meetings as a default way of working. The solution also needed to align with the client’s existing technology ecosystem and align with the overall design and aesthetic of the workplace.
Key Technologies

Cisco-based room systems were integrated across all meeting spaces to deliver a consistent video conferencing experience. Each room is designed so users can walk in and connect quickly, and join meetings using the same interface, regardless of room size or configuration.

The training environment was designed as a joinable space, supported by Cisco room systems, Epson projection, and QSC audio. This allows rooms to operate independently or combine into a larger presentation environment, maintaining clear audio and consistent visual performance for both meetings and training sessions.

Cisco Room Navigator panels were deployed across meeting spaces to support room booking and visibility. Users can schedule or book rooms on the spot, supporting better visibility and use of meeting spaces and aligning with the flexible way teams use the workplace.
Our Solutions
Pro AV Solutions delivered the audiovisual design, integration, and commissioning for the Grant Thornton Australia Sydney office, working closely with the builder and consultant to support the delivery of a consistent workplace experience.
The solution was designed to integrate a client-supplied conferencing ecosystem across all spaces, while standardising how users interact with each room. Meeting rooms, boardrooms, and training spaces were aligned through a common platform, enabling a consistent approach to video conferencing, content sharing, and control.
The delivered solution includes:
- A standardised room experience across more than 40 spaces, allowing users to move between rooms without needing to relearn how to operate the technology.
- Integration of client-supplied Cisco systems, aligned with existing technology standards and supporting long-term scalability.
- A mix of room types, from small meeting rooms to large boardrooms and flexible training spaces, each designed to support different collaboration scenarios while maintaining a consistent user experience.
- A joinable training environment supporting both independent and combined room configurations for meetings and presentations.
- Room booking systems and digital signage to support workspace management and improve visibility of room availability.
- Audio and control systems designed to support both meeting and presentation use cases across all environments.
System Operation and Longevity
The AV systems were designed as a unified platform across the workplace, supporting long-term usability and ease of management.
A consistent user interface reduces the need for training and support, allowing users to operate rooms independently and supporting consistent use across the workplace. The platform approach also enables future expansion, allowing additional spaces or technologies to be integrated without major changes to the underlying infrastructure.
The use of network-based systems supports ongoing updates and alignment with evolving workplace requirements, ensuring the solution remains relevant over time.
