THE BRIEF

Pro AV Solutions were successful in their bid to provide audio visual services and business technologies to Commonwealth Bank of Australia for their new building in Darling Square, Sydney.

Darling Square is the new Precinct in the Sydney’s CBD, currently in development and being built by Lend Lease. The Commonwealth Bank Building Darling Square is a twelve-story ground-up build that will be utilised to house 3000 employees in a state of the art, open plan, six-star Green rating building..

The technology systems deployed into the build were designed by InnovaTech, with Matthew Loupis being the lead consultant representative.

The Commonwealth Bank Darling Square building has 26,000 square metres of office space across eight working levels, with four levels designated for parking, The large office space was designed around two main principals: flexible working spaces and ease of use. Joining the busy Darling Harbour boulevard to Haymarket, the Darling Square project represents a $1.9B AUD project, and is part of the changing face of the Sydney CBD.

THE SOLUTION

Pro AV deployed over 200 spaces with many forgoing complex control systems in lieu of a simpler, more user friendly, plug and play experience. The project also had some specialised areas, including Australia’s very first OLED video wall, a dedicated open area atrium running high end Martin Audio Arrays producing crystal clear audio for large gatherings. One of the most spectacular features of the building is the unique projector mapping of a central column that connects floors which provides stunning visuals for the entire building on the circular column.

Pro AV were also commissioned to integrate the entire MATV system, from satellite dish to device via a sophisticated RF modulation system. This system was used to provide Commonwealth Bank their own Satellite TV broadcast, as well as pay TV and Free to air. An employee gym, waiter call system, security room and room booking panels for every meeting room rounded out the AV.
